I know that personally when I’m shopping online the one thing that is the most tedious is the checkout process. Entering a credit card, shipping address, captcha’s at times can be tedious. Amazon has streamlined this so that once you select the product you want to buy, it only takes a single click and you’re done. You’re in, you’re out and you’re on your way to the next thing. Linking tools are utilities Amazon provides you so you can easily add a link to a product you like or want to promote on Amazon. You can link to a page, link to a product, use social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook as well. They also allow you to build a slide show of your promotions and create widgets for your website highlighting a carousel of deals or your favorites. As well you can create banners.
In addition you can even create an Astore with featured Amazon products that uses a shopping cart. and get it all setup without any coding.

The payouts from Amazon aren’t all that lucrative, which is a drawback. This means that to make any serious amount of money will need to have an authorative site that draws a lot of traffic and make sure that you target your products to your audience as best you can.
Amazon Advantage Program
There are two flavors of the Amazon Advantage program. There’s the vanilla version and a version they call Advantage Professional.
First the Amazon Advantage program is targeted at people who are producing their own content in the form of a Book, Movie, or Music. Below is a snippet from the Amazon Advantage Professional page.

The cost for the Amazon Advantage program is $35.00 per year. Amazon retains 55% and pays you 45% of the sale price. Some might consider this a steep amount but if the Advantage Program but think of it like this. If you’re doing distribution of a film, book or music you should have a distribution strategy that touches many outlets. You should never put your egges all in a single basket. They should be in many baskets of which Amazon is just one. If you have a film, or music you that you want to distribute using the Amazon Advantage program you should look at a fulfillment service called Kunaki. They’ll burn, package and shrinkwrap for $1.00 and ship directly for Amazon for you. All automated and that’s a good thing.
To get started with the Amazon Advqantage program you have to apply so Amazon applies some amount of discretion and there could be a lead time of a week, or two before all is approved
Book Publishing on Amazon
You can sell you book on Amazon as an e-Book, or you can use the Amazon partner at Create Space to sell it in paperback as well.
There are a lot of misconceptions about using Amazon Kindle. If you’re already a recognized author you’ll have an easire time making money selling your book using the Amazon platform.
