The “Live Chat” feature provides website visitors with an optional way to contact you using common chat technology. For mobile users and others this can be advantageous because it’s found to be more convenient by some as well as more immediate. Especially if they don’t want to wait for a reply to an email.
WordPress Plug In and Widget Training
WordPress training videos and articles for Intentional Magic customers covering WordPress plugin configuration, use, widgets and sidebars.
This training video only pertains to customers who have local businesses and have an opening and closing times associated with their business. If this is you then I have installed one of two different plug-ins on your site to accomodate your business hours of operation. One plug in is a free WordPress plug-in and another one developed by Yoast is a premium plug in.
This video happens to address the configuration requirements of the free plug in called “SEO Contact”. This plug in as well as the premium version uses code that is specifically friendly to Google and in a way that will give you more SEO love then just listing your hours of operation.
In addition I’ve also included how to modify your business listing on your Google Plus page. Also if you are a local business I have likely setup your business in a whole host of other directories for small business and you’ll want to coordinate with me to get those listings modified as well if needed.
Please leave a comment, or any questions below.
This short training video covers how to approved any testimonials that your customers may leave for you.
All testimonials entered by customers are held for your approval. It’s never a good idea to have your testimonials automatically approved.
Hence at the time a customer leaves a testimonial using this particular plug in called “Testimonials Basic” you will be sent an email me alerting you to the fact that you have a new testimonial waiting to be approved.
This video will walk you through the entire process of how to approve a testimonial. If you want to know how to configure and setup this plug in please see the other video on the “Basic Testimonials” plug – in
The previous video on this topic dealt with how to use and configure a free plug in called “Contact SEO” that provided a way for you to display your opening hours, directions and other related information important to local businesses. This plug in is one that I have chosen to use for 99 percent of all customers. However for specific sites I am using what is called a “Premium” plug in which is actually an extension to the “Yoast SEO Plug In” for local and that is the subject of this ten minute training video.
If you want to use the Yoast SEO version rather than the free Contact SEO plug in please get in touch and as always leave any comments or questions below.
If you have a class, or any event that happens on a recurring schedule, it’s very easy to use the “All In One Event Calendar” and configure an event one time and then have it reoccur per your schedule. This video will walk you through how to set up a recurring event that occurs every week. Recurring events can be setup to repeat every week, every day, every month, year as well as every set of days. For example an event that is every Monday and Wednesday is just as easy to setup as an event that happens every Monday.
If you have any questions leave them below.
Recently we purchased a developers license for a premium Word Press plug in called “The All In One Event Calendar”. This is very robust calendar that can do many different things such as integrated with Facebook, so you can publish your events to Facebook as well as read from a Google calendar and more. I’ll be going over more of these features in other videos.
This video primarily deals with how to create an event. If you don’t have this plug in installed on your site and you’d like to use it just let me know by leaving a comment below and I’ll install it for you and then let you know.
